Armored ladder hatch#1447

armored hatch would be fine but 2 c4 is too expensive

It’s not expensive, it is clearly meant to be an equivalent of an armored door, as the normal ladder hatch is an equivalent of a metal door. But why to skip a mid-tier version? (An equivalent of a garage door)

This is really necessary. We have 4 tiers of horizontal door options (wood door, metal door, garage door, armored door), but we have only 1 tier of vertical door options.

There should be a wooden ladder hatch and an armored ladder hatch implemented. Often I seal off top-floors of bases and have to later pick them out because a low-tier door option doesn’t exist for closing this off.

It’s totally fine to not make half-walls half price (this makes a lot of sense), but at least give us vertical movement door options that compete with the horizontal movement door options.

Also can you be able to hold e on the hatch and choose what legnth you want the ladder to drop down by, 1-3 wall lengths.

This is sorely needed. Ladder hatches are so weak that a lot of builders don’t even bother to use them. Maybe require ladder -> hatch -> armored hatch crafting to make it more balanced.
