Look into better Anticheat#18146

I have played for a long time and noticed a uptick in scripters/botters. Releasing content every month brings in many new players but tons of people are noticing how bad scripting is getting in this game. Take official for examples… if you haven’t played on one then try and see your house get “perfect raided”. . Many veteran players are starting to get the mentality of “everyone else scrips so why don’t I and hide behind my hours”. Rust is an amazing game, Facepunch please save it before it is to late.

It’s been 5 weeks now that it really started my mates and I have never seen so much cheater and ban as well as ban message … wtf is going on … 5 weeks they are raiding perfect direct where is the loot .. We no longer play thinking of doing the basics against legit guys but thinking them against cheaters (creating loot fakes everywhere) It’s not normal to have come to this! I never saw this in 4K8 hour. Wake up, we know like a lot of us veterans (I’ve been playing since legacy) that the people who cheat are your “goodwill” that makes you a lot of extra money. But we are a big part of really starting to be very mad, and if you do not act by finding better solutions we will end up quitting. I have no fun farming myself, afk an hour, a night and seeing that it’s raided exactly at the right place. Same in pvp i’m not lying i promise for the last few weeks when i die 1/3 the guy was using a cheat (i got the ban post) we’re playing on intoxicated solo duo trio right now. ALL DAY we only see that “BANNED BANNED BANNED” 20 ban+ in the chat. So ALLLLLLO!? We’ve never seen it, it’s worse than covid-19 in Rust right now! 15-20% of the bans my mates and I reported were old “legit” accounts, above 1000h WTF ?! In exceptional cases, exceptional measure. Facepunch, Devs, Garry!? take this seriously, Make an ip ban or something powerfull! no one gonna use cheat anymore! money for money if you make nothing you will loose old players and you will gain massive wave of cheater. Im desesperate, everyone speeking about cheaters its a fuckin invasion ! youtuber, twitch streamer etc… Everyone can tell you that something is wrong with the anti cheat this period ! Perfect moment to make an upgrade.I know there is monthly update but before that put this on the first plan. Focus 1,2,3 months on this, it’s really urgent ! WAKE UP

yeah @Nomlace 01 I suggest you and no one plays on intoxicated solo/duo/trio. We got onlined by cheaters who got banned the next day.

I am a player with over 4000h on rust and over the past month I have found the game getting more and more horrible.

Wake up before the game disgusts real rust players

@Ismo Seppo it’s not the server , i asked several of my Friends on Steam before writing and for everyone on official or modded , Big team , small team , everyone says the same fact .. “ Something is happening since more than a Month with cheaters” there is a real wave… it’s time to take the right action take a month and focus a big update on developing a new VIOLENT anti-cheat or partnering with an existing recognized anti-cheat company. I’m sure there are solutions. We just have to find them. For now i’m disgusted to play.

Same experience here.Used to play in Rustafied servers for at least a year.In the beggining you could see like 20-30 bans per day and as the time goes by you could see less and less.Blatand hackers were playing in the server for a month until they got banned and you have lost 3-4 bases to them.Ended up leaving the rustafied servers all together since there were no active admins anymore.Rusty Moose and Rustopia seem to have a lot of active admins at the moment and you can see a lot of bans everyday.

EasyAntiCheat is probably the best Anti Cheat right now that doesn’t intrude on the users privacy. Still gonna upvote however EAC is probably for the best right now

@Alba maybe more something like vanguard on valorant .. in any cases a harder one. and if Eac is still used, they have to upgrade it, force IP BAN everytime + Dont allow Vpn like on many servers.

Maybe they should just raise the price of the game. Rust should be $60 by now, facepunch has earned it.
People don’t care if their account gets banned when they cheat cause they don’t lose any progress (you completely restart the game every wipe) and the game is only $5 on some markets.
If they increase to $60 it’ll suddenly become very expensive to cheat.
There will still be cheaters, but at least FP can make more money from it so they can hire someone to make a good anti-cheat
