Optimise the game better#20379

I have a 2070 super with nearly all the settings at the lowest possible and my gpu usage is at 100%

There is no hope for a console version if this is the type of corner you want to cut

Optimise the game please before my computer explodes

Game optimization has been suggested countless times. The devs are well aware of the issue and are constantly working on it when they can.

Lower the 2, 3 and 4th shadow options to the absolute minimum in your settings and your game will run at a MUCH higher framerate. You’ll see more too.. fuck those fancy graphics.

Are you aware that your GPU usage will always be at 100% unless you turn VSync on or limit the frame rate?

I’m not trying to be a smartass or anything I’m just legitimately trying to make sure you’re aware that turning down the quality will jsut cause your GPU to pump out more FPS while still using all the resources available unless it’s limited in some way.

Also if you’re concerned your PC is going to explode from heat you should add a fan or consider checking your thermal compound or something; Your PC should reach some form of thermal equilibrium where it regulates itself to a set temperature lmiit

yes, always use VSYNC as it’s perfectly implemented… my Rust runs at 60 FPS on my GTX 1080 at 3440x1440

i can change my graphics to 2 pixels on the screen and everything is one texture and still get 30 fps

and no i dont got capped fps

@cappie never use V-Sync in a gmae like Rust. The input lag added is far too significant.

Use RTSS’s scanlike sync if you want a V-sync like experience, or use the built-in framerate limiter if you want to cap fps.
