Why doesn't facepunch let us change our charters??? Any thoughts?#21786

Does anyone have a clue why doesn’t facepunch let us customize our charters like every other fucking game out there??

I would love to hear everyones comments about this. My thought is they just suck at programming and can’t figure it out or they are working on other ideas for the game (probalby under staffed and have shit programmers on there team besides the GOD himseld Garry Newman.)

its not a rpg its a survival game, plus just because they dont have a customization feature doesnt make them shitty programers there would be no point for the feature anyways

The programmers are a godsend, don’t allow character customization, it’s nice to see racists stuck with characters that are not white or male.

My thoughts on this are that character customization is great, but not for Rust. The way Rust works is that you are who you are, and your player model is (mostly) unique to you. I don’t care for realism in games, it’s ridiculous, however.; Static character models are a part of Rust’s identity, so much so that they factor into gameplay quite frequently.

I actually like it that you cant, imagine how much easier it would be to impersonate a clan mate if you could also change your charecter
