Make the game use more GPU#28309

Title, it would help a lot with the FPS

The problem is the game engine they use (unity) which makes this very difficult. The only real solution would be to switch engines which is a 2+ year task even with all developers working on it.

Unity is primarily CPU based. I recommend you upgrade your CPU to something more up to date instead.

That was already planned for me.

But can you say that’s normal ? Buying more expensive hardware for a game is pretty disgusting when the game is not that good looking.

Moreover, my CPU shouldn’t be a problem, I have a 7700k. It may not be the best of the market but rust HDRP didn’t make much of a difference with the visual update. And the game’s performance hasn’t changed much since 2017 from my experience.

I agree it shouldn’t be normal. It irritates me when people say “just buy an SSD” for windows 10 to get decent boot times even though in windows 7 boot times were never an issue with an HDD.

The reason the HDRP update didn’t seem to do much is because they only moved over the assets. The HDRP they were working with only saw decrease performance so they canceled it.

@Zaconil It’s 2022 and you don’t have an SSD still? How? If I had to use a computer and it didn’t have an SSD I would throw it out the window.

@Lama Love lol yes, I do. Yeah, I had to help a relative with their OS on an HDD a couple of years ago. It was a painful experience.

500GB SSD for the OS
2 seperate 1TB SSDs for games
All 3 of them 870 evo
RAID 6, 4 HDDs (3TB usable) for general storage
