@Garry Newman why do you need to research this when people are already able to do it in the game?

@BriSco Research can mean a lot of things. It can mean needing to decide what gestures would be useful or it can mean consider whether this is a good idea at all. Give them space to consider it :)

@Ben Kuhl i get that i just dont understand how much research is needed when people have been doing gestures in the game for almost a year now.

We could have a simple system like how dead by daylight does it. Their system is though that there is no talking. So, you can only communicate by gestures. A very simple system. Yet really works to getting someone to help you to do a generator or heal you. Something to get a good basic idea.

Wave and thumbsup aren’t working for me and others I encountered in console or bind,other 5 are fine:whoa/victory/chicken/shrug/hurry

I wonder if this will tie into prisioner thing mentioned way back

Would be interesting if there was a handcuff type mechanic similar to how GTA RP does it so you can rob without downing someone. Would be very interesting long term to see how it would be used. You would have to craft and have handcuffs (tier 2) to perform the move.
