As a solo player who often live in snowy area i think it would be bad.
I regularly get fucked by cold and have to deal with it, it’s a constraint.

If only a torch would suffise, it would be tooo easy (it’s already easy with a campfire) (reason of the downvote)

Light up a torch in the winter with a bit of wind and see how much that comforts you. Try it while in your underwear too.

As a balancing mechanic torches can be loaded with a little Low Grade Fuel to provide warmth. I feel like this is a good balance rather than making all torches provide warmth.

the problem with this would be the “new torch meta” that everyone would carry around a torch for cheap heals due to comfort… I could see it slightly helping with cold but honestly in what situation would a torch actually keep you warm…
