Simply turret have been uselss against rockets for ages. Somehow they are blind at long ranges so they are easily removed from a base. While people cry about extending the range or advancing the logic to counter a threat this is the next best thing. putting them in a armored housing or on a lift. They can pop out of a base engage targets and retract when not in use.

Much like the garage door idea but far more durable as they are behind walls.
