Connector for industrial pipes going into floors#36583

I think it’s a great feature that industrial pipes get blocked through walls, but for every one that has tried to do an “automated house” knows the horror that it is to get that “blocked” error so often. So my suggestion is tho make a piece like a connector that goes into the walls or into the ceiling that allows to connect the pipes through walls or ceilings much more easily. The way of putting that piece should be similar to the dropbox

I too get frustrated with piping, but anything that allows through solid walls is truly ripe for abuse. My favorite example was a youtuber who put together a system where all of the loot was constantly transferring from one bunker to another (I think it was like 6 in this particular case) and if anything broke a bunker everything would be transferred out. Cool idea but a bit broken and not what was intended from the developer.

I would suggest a smaller adjustment though. Allow us to pass through wall and floor frames. Those frames are already meant to house items like doors and hatches that we are already approved to pass through. Getting around the frames takes precious contact points and slows down pipe placement a lot while making it more difficult to keep things clean and tidy for those us with ocd placement issues. So, please let us just go through those solid pieces since they already are part of an opening. You could possible also apply that logic to window frames too.
