Tugboats are not balanced (stupid game mechanic)#36592

This post is regarding the ease of sinkability of tugboats.
By this, i am referring to how quickly a tugboat can be sunken and for minimal costs. at the moment tugboats can be sunk in less than 10 seconds by a single submarine for less than 200 gunpowder.
“just shoot the submarine” say the idiots that have no clue and love to ego on the internet, moving on.

Tugboats need a serious case of evaluation. Currently, a tugboat is a joke. No matter how many hours you spend in it, no matter where you park it, how well you defend it, it takes 10 seconds for a player with a couple hundred scrap to take it out (and its just to grief you majority of the time).

There needs to be more elements to the tugboat, perhaps a period where it does not sink and allows you to defend it, if successful > you can repair it. A repair kit to revive the sunken tug? A way to upgrade the tug to stronger materials? Somewhere that the tugboat can not be sunk?

And finally, just nerf torpedos and submarines.

Tugboats have one door to loot/tc. They are easy to raid, why must they be even easier to sink?
The answer is they shouldn’t. they aren’t balanced.

Please upvote so tugboat gets a well needed evaluation.

consider making torpedos require manual loading, shoot once and then you must manually reload, takes 3 seconds etc. this would be an amazing balance. in addition to other adjustments.

At the moment, torpedos can be spam shot as fast as you can click. meaning someone can shoot 15 torpedos within 10 seconds

tugs can outrun subs and pretty easily dodge torps. if you arnt solo that gives enough time to shoot them out

Think the main issue is there is not defense for tugs. Its just a sitting duck.

they definitely cant outrun subs, if u drive in a straight line, they will shoot 100 torpedos, no joke. u will be sunk, if u dodge, they will catch up, and dodging takes a lot of time to actually turn the boat, u still get hit by the torpedos, remember they are spam shooting 2 torpedos per second, its literally just a field of torpedos being slung at you until you are sunk.

ive noticed the only counter to this is: dont carry any valuable loot, embrace the sink. go sink other peoples tugs so they respawn and you can get another one :)

in addition, only use one armoured door, the door to the loot, dont open the door for them, make them blow it, less than 1000 gunpowder btw

torpedos need to be nerfed, they can be shot and basically travel forever at the same speed, if they could be shot out and also lost velocity, slowing down over time, they would be more balanced.
