I seen someone talking about this somewhere else and really liked it;
A train with loot and mechanics similar to cargo would span the map outskirts, with potential for implicating proc gen tracks in the future. It could even make pit stops at certain monuments like trainyard which would introduce a danger element. The train would be armed with scientists, and only accessable via the back carts, forcing players to move through, back to front, with loot/difficulty progression as they go.
I think this would be awesome, not only for playing, but for aethetics and it really fits. Scientists moving loot to/between their outposts makes sense and its something that although difficult to code I’m sure, would be minorly intrusive and an altogether really cool feature. Horse-back train hitching would be awesome, I know you’ve got a visualization now. :D Thanks for your time, I don’t remember the name of who I saw talking about this in the beginning, it was a simple suggestion being much less detailed, but thanks none the less to whoever you are.
Stay Rusty.

I like it.
Military Tunnel
and Outpost
.I also thought that the train could be a trigger event lead by a rare mission concluded in my idea here: #4347 (which could make my idea unbalance for bandit camp in some aspects - I’m overthinking here)
Cheers.
Appreciate the positive outlook man and nice ideas to boot.
Cheers.
nice idea there is not much ppl on land now that oil rigs are in the game so this would be good
