Idea 1: Allow diesel fuel to be refined into High Grade Fuel that burns cleaner and therefore lasts longer in common devices, like heli’s, mall generator, and lamps that normally use Low Grade Fuel.

Idea 2: Or, to take this idea even further… In reality, the normal production chain for Crude Oil is - Low Grade Fuel (low octain gasoline) ->High Grade Fuel (higher octain gasoline) -> Diesel Fuel (further refined petrol) -> Jet Fuel (even further refined).

This reality based teir system could be used by a Level 2+ refinery, which by necessity would change the fuel balance structure of the game. Heli’s would need highest tier fuel, other vehicles and generators would need diesel fuel, and low grade and high grade fuel could both be used in lower teir devices like small generators and lamps (with high grade burning longer).

You have it all wrong……….. in the distillation process…..
you start out with the crap.. then pull off the lighter fractions.
once “petrol/gasoline” is out, you CANNOT refine “petrol/gasoline” into diesel, you have to keep heating the crap.
So it could actually be made into a “mini-game” where the MORE you need to control the temp, the higher grade fuel you get.

The resedues.. could be used in arrows (as could be the crap), possibly even “sticky” traps & bombs…

Ok. I wasn’t entirely wrong, i was just trying to simplify the idea. But you are correct. I should have said “more refined than petrol” instead. But the point was that the refining process is a tiered process. From low quality fuels to higher quality fuels. Hopefully that point doesn’t get lost in the details. Thank you for correcting it though, this will actually help people understand.

LOL… thats not what I meant…, it has potential to add a new dimention to the game with very little overall cost (FPS/GPU)
if you hangabout in other areas you see there are the continual whiners about (to paraphrase..) “ well the game is not realistic” or “that is not how it works”.. “well in the real world such & such works like this”

With the adition of the other vehicles (that they are working on), it could actually be good.
