Remove sell limit in safe zones#26141

Remove the sell limit i i understand the buy limit but sell limit is stupid…. cant sell anything venders being hogged .

@Ryan Brown They actually added the nerf because of selling not buying, Because they were too lazy to balance the cloth price so they just removed the ability to sell in a reasonable amount of time

without sell limitation the meta will be to sell stuff in safe zone instead of actually risking going to anywhere in the map.

Use farming as a secondary source of scrap and play the game instead of sitting in base and going to safe zones.

but here is a good tip.
While you are waiting for Bandit Camp vendors to restore, fish inside the banditcamp. You can get some types of fish that you can sell in fishing villages or get fishes that you can gut for blue cards and sell them in bandit aswell.

Im pro pvp playee i got bored of pvp and decided to try and be farmer without killing anybody … ended up.having to go pvp and run. monuments instead of farming …. its broken fix …. also the gene faze takes way to long cloning fix that too. So get off your high horse ..judging people

Better fix: remove safe zones/outpost. Set up trades with player-run vending machines.

@Victor Barbosa the game can be played as you want, and as a casual player who doesn’t enjoy pvp, farming was much more fun for me than running monuments. There’s still a large investment cost and the bases are easy to raid given how much open space one requires. So just because we’re not playing your 2x2 aka meta doesn’t mean we’re not playing the game. It just means we’re sick of getting beamed by tryhards which you’re probably one of and you got upset that this had removed the easy kills for you because they hid when they could.

@XGkzDbShlV3e who’s buying cloth and corn on rust lmao. No one needs that much especially food because its so easy to get enough to live off of

Also @Victor Barbosa you can’t downvote selling in safe zones when you also downvote a mobile vending machine that by definition is more dangerous than a normal shop. I think you just don’t like trading in general and only want pvp

@MinotaurMikeFTW Mike you are right, the game can (and should) be played as you want. But the safest strategy should not be the meta strategy. They nerfed farming to the ground because of THIS:

This was before the limited stock thing.
It is really dumb that a zerg can have a base that costs over 100k metal fragments of upkeep on a vanilla server ONLY selling cloth in bandit and buying metal fragments in outpost and having infinite LR-300s

Some wipes I play as a roleplayer shop owner by the outpost and I can progress quite fast. Just not as fast as when I try hard launch site main. But there is no problem with that at all. When I decide to play safe, my progress is slower, this is just how it is.

The problem is that you guys want 100% safe strategies that guarantee progress just as fast (or even faster) than looting launch site/oil rig/raiding, which does not make any sense.

Low risk, low reward, high risk, high reward.

The high effort, high reward mindset is dumb because zergs can do it with no effort and get high reward.

Also what do you mean I downvoted mobile vending machine? I never did that. Actually I gave the idea of mobile shop front in Rust discord that later turned into the taxi module.

@Victor Barbosa you literally downvoted #25977. Which is literally a mobile vending machine post. In case you forgot users can see your votes. And i want farming to actually be useful. If i spend multiple days and a shit ton of resources on making a farm that can easily be raided, it better at least be worth the investment. Because when i made my 9x9 solo i didnt have enough resources to honeycomb it. So thats a very high risk investment and by your logic should have a high reward. Especially when i put the work in to get GGYYYY plants. Instead i cant sell any cloth ever without sittin in bandit for half an hour to get 200 scrap at best

@MinotaurMikeFTW Mike you are right I downvoted this one but not because of mobile vending machines, I just think the description of the idea is really bad and could be a lot simple than that.

Building farm bases is not a high risk lol stop

@Victor Barbosa the description is bad? Lmao. All i did was leave multiple module choices for different sizes and describe them lol.
And building a massive hollow base for farming is high risk in a game where honeycomb is everything. Like i said 9x9 3 story made of stone with 0 honeycomb until i made my first full batch sale. Because i couldn’t afford more. Thats a couple of rockets and its raided. So thats plenty high risk. Ive already said you can cut the rates but it shouldn’t be worthless like you want. Right now there is 0 reason to make a farm base whatsoever. Especially given how much has to be put in and how easily its sabotaged

@MinotaurMikeFTW Mike you are right the game will be so much fun with zergs getting 1 billion scrap per hour. I agree 100% that zergs need this massive buff because it is really hard to zerg right now. Zergs right now need farmers to upkeep their massive bases and this is bullshit! Zergs need a passive and safe source of infinite scrap to pay upkeep so they can obliterate the entire server 24/7 non stop.

Good luck don’t stop trying to get this change in the game.

@Victor Barbosa nice strawman. If you cut the rates it won’t be nearly as effective as you act. Way to show your cognitive failures that you resort to strawmans

@MinotaurMikeFTW Mike
Since you have no logical arguments and just throw pointless insults here is some math and facts for your single damaged brain cell to process

Let`s say the stock limit is removed and the sell rates are nerfed to
10 scrap per 250 cloth

A solo has a farm that produces 20.000 cloth per hour
this will give the solo player 80 scrap per hour (WOW so much fun! 1 tier 1 blueprint). This is 1920 scrap per 24 hours so the solo will be forced to go PVP for scrap (thing that you hate)

A zerg has a farm that produces 1.000.000 cloth per hour
this will give the zerg 4000 scrap per hour (8 free LR-300 per hour or 5 minicopters per hour or 2 scrap helis per hour)
This is 96.000 scrap in 24 hours or roughly 1 million metal fragments bought from outpost.

I know, 2nd grade math is hard.

Look at this guy thinking the devs are stupid enough to let you sell 500000 fertilizer in 2 minutes.

Look at this guy thinking the devs are stupid enough to let you sell 500000 fertilizer in 2 minutes.

They did do this on release tho, lol:

2020-04-02: Farming 2.0 Update

Horses now poo. Collect it, put it in the composter, get a nice amount of fertilizer. They poo every 20-25 minutes.

2020-06-04: Companion App Update

Horses were producing way too much dung previously, which lead to players hoarding all the horses on a server and making dung farms. …
Horses now produce a lot less dung, a lot less frequently.

2020-10-01: Elevator Update

NPC vendors now refill their stock slowly instead of having an infinite amount always available. … Selling cloth and other farmed items for scrap was never intended to be the go-to method of progressing in the game so this change needed to happen.

2021-10-07: Missions & QOL

  • Horses now produce dung more often
  • Dung yields more Fertilizer

@Victor Barbosa you cant even do math. With your own numbers the solo would be getting 800 per hour lmao. And even zergs would struggle to have a farm 50x as large as a solo farm that big… the zerg farm you’re talking is at least a 50x50x10 farm… if you couldn’t raid that you’re inept… especially since the whole lobby should want to with bow much money is sitting right there vulnerable. Becauze if you mean to tell me a zerg could build a base that large, much less honeycomb it you’re a joke.
But im sorry you struggle with 2nd grade math like you accuse me of 🤡
